Synchronized Swimming: Diosdado Looking for her Fifth Gold Medal.

Mayagüez, Puerto Rico (07/29/10)– After five days of competition since the beginning of synchronized swimming of the XXI Central American and Caribbean Sports Games Mayagüez 2010, one can’t help but consider the Mexican Nuria Diosdado as the queen of this discipline. 

The first one of these medals was conquered Sunday, July 25, in the individual’s discipline of technical routine with a score of 85.0875.

On Monday, Diosdado made the also Mexican Isabel Delgado as her teammate in the discipline of duet’s technical routine.  In this occasion, they scored 85.1375 and therefore defeating the Colombian team, who is in second place, by only three points.

 After a day of rest, Diosdado returned to the pool yesterday, Wednesday, with Isabel Delgado, Nuria Evelyn Guajaro, Mariana Cifuentes, Jessica Becerra, Karla Areola, Karem Achach, Ofelia Pedrero, Claudia Aceves and Sofía Ríos in the combined form in team, in which she scored with her teammates a total score of 89.5375 to win again the gold medal.

Diosdado won again the gold medal today after dominating the free routines category with a score of 86.7125.

Tomorrow, the most wanted Aztec will go in search of her fifth gold medal when she returns to the Natatorium in the University of Puerto Rico Mayagüez Campus with her colleagues Isabel Delgado, Evelyn Guajardo, Marian Cifuentes, Karla Arreola, Jarem Achach, Ofelia Pedrero and Sofía Ríos in the event of team’s free routine that is disputed at 9:00 AM.
