Boxing: Bibal Gives the Fifth Gold Medal to Puerto Rico
Mayagüez (July 30, 2010) – The Puerto Rican Gerardo Bisbal finished a golden night in boxing of the XXI Central American and Caribbean Sports Games celebrated in the Rafael Mangual Coliseum of Mayagüez after defeating the Netherland Antillean boxer Gilton Zimmerman 9-3 in the 91 kg or more.
This was the fifth gold medal achieved by the Boricuas in this historical finale.
Zimmerman obtained the silver medal.
Puerto Rico will look for the gold or silver in the categories of 51 kg tomorrow, Saturday, when Jonathan González will face Ciever Ávila of Colombia and Enrique Collazo will face the Dominican Félix Valera.
