Trampoline
First appearance in the Central American and Caribbean Games: 2010
Sport created in 1936 by George Nissen, Physical Education professor. Trampoline owes its name to two Italian trapeze artists: Les Due Trampoline, who bounced off of a protection net after their show. It was used by American soldiers as a training tool during the Second World War and became a sports discipline in 1948 during the First United States Championship. With the creation of the International Trampoline Federation in 1964, the First World Championship was held in London, which allowed the participation of men and women.
